Tour Description:
This full-day tour covers several communities in Oaxaca’s Sierra Norte. First, visit Las Ánimas in Santa Catarina Ixtepeji to learn about traditional wooden whisks used in preparing hot chocolate.
Next, stop at Ixtlán de Juárez to see a glass-floored viewpoint with sweeping views of the mountains. Continue to San Pablo Guelatao, the birthplace of Benito Juárez, where you’ll visit a small museum, a peaceful lagoon, and the modest home where he was raised.
The final stop is Capulálpam de Méndez, a Pueblo Mágico known for its historic church and community medicine center.
